Guy Roberts

Guy Roberts arrived in NYC in 1976 as a pro musician and got a hack license to help pay bills.
They had their first garage on Canal St. thus Tribeca. In 1991 they moved to West 21st Street between 10th Avenue and the West Side Highway. That’s when they started working with art galleries escaping the commercialism and retail invasion of Soho. The Chelsea area today is the heart of the world contemporary art market with 300 or more galleries all close by. Today they operate their fleet in Harlem. The only yellow taxi operation in Harlem. Many of the drivers live up here and many walk to and from work every day.
