TLC TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING ON ALL RULES CHAPTERS ASSESSED AS PART OF RULES REVIEW PROJECT

The Taxi and Limousine Commission, as part of its comprehensive revision of its rules, and following conditional approval by the Commission of all 19 chapters of the proposed new rulebook, will hold an additional public hearing on all 19 chapters at 10:00 a.m. on July 8, 2010 at the offices of the Commission at 40 Rector Street, Fifth Floor, New York, NY.

People who have comments on the proposed rules are strongly encouraged to submit their comments in writing to the Commission in advance of the hearing. Written comments must be submitted no later than July 6, 2010. Comments may be delivered in person or by mail to New York City Taxi & Limousine Commission Legal Department, 40 Rector St., 5th Floor, New York, NY, 10006, faxed to 212-676-1102, or e-mailed to tlcrules@tlc.nyc.gov. There is no page limit on written comments.

Persons who want testify at the hearing may register in advance by calling 212-676-1135 or may register in person at the beginning of the hearing. Given the number of people expected to testify, speakers will be strictly limited to three minutes each. Considering the time constraints, persons with comments are strongly encouraged to submit written comments.
